Sungai Pelek assemblyperson Ronnie Liu has been arrested over a Facebook post on the protests in Thailand with regard to King Maha Vajiralongkorn, which was deemed to be seditious towards the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.

According to his lawyer Jadavish Chandra, his client was detained by officers from Bukit Aman when he turned up for questioning at the Petaling Jaya district police headquarters this morning.

The arrest was to facilitate further investigations under the Sedition Act and the Communications and Multimedia Act.
