Singer Sam Smith may say he’s too good at goodbyes, but he’s also apparently pretty good at hellos. The 25-year-old was caught kissing and holding hands with 13 Reasons Why actor Brandon Flynn yesterday afternoon in New York City by a lurking photographer. Sam was also pictured with his arm around the 23-year-old as they crossed the street holding hands.
According to TMZ, the rumored new couple spent the day walking around NYC’s Greenwich Village and looked quite smitten together.
Sam publicly came out as a gay man in May 2014 by saying his first alum In the Lonely Hour was QUOTE “about a guy that I fell in love with last year, and he didn’t love me back.”
Brandon, on the other hand, has not yet officially come out. Last month, however, he posted a picture of the LGBTQ+ flag printed with the word equality on Instagram. His post was in response to someone hiring an airplane to write ‘VOTE NO’ in the sky over Sydney, Australia, to encourage citizens to keep same-sex marriage illegal. He used words like ‘we’ and ‘us’ in his post, basically confirming that he’s part of the LGBTQ+ community.
He said QUOTE “We've fought, we've come out bravely even in our fear, and you wrote a message in the sky because you're scared. Equality takes courage, it worries me that too many people in this world lack the balls to stand up for what is right. #f*ckhate”
