Markook is a typical middle eastern flatbread that can be flavoured with different kinds of fillings. The flatbread, or Shrak in Arabic, is flattened thin and spread onto a convex hot pan spinning griddle ,called saj , and very quickly it is ready. Watch the “flying” flatbread antics of this chef in the video. Basically it doesn’t do much except help to spred the circumference of the flatbread a bit more. Once ready you have a choice filling ranging from just wonderful Nutella spread ,to Nutella with banana and others. Try this sweet temptation at KL’s Bukit Bintang tourist district.
