Selena Gomez gives a behind the scenes look into how she prepared for her emotional “The Heart Wants What it Wants” AMA performance AND officially signs a recording contract with Interscope.

Selena recently released what she’s calling her AMA Diary which is a behind the scenes look at her preparation for her AMA performance which we saw a couple weeks ago. To give you a refresher, she performed her latest song “The Heart Wants What it Wants” which is a very personal song for her about her feelings for Justin Bieber.
In the 5 minute video, Selena talks about the anticipation leading up to the performance saying QUOTE - “It’ll be such a release. I’m excited that people everywhere who are feeling what I feel will get to see that. And I just want people to be able to relate to that.” She goes on to say QUOTE - “This performance is a little frightening, but I’m very excited. When I had the intention behind the performance, I knew that I wanted it to be all of me.”

In other Selena Gomez news, she’s doing big things. Selena officially announced last night that she has signed a recording contract with Interscope Records. Rumors of her deal have been circulating for awhile now, but she confirmed the news on Instagram last night with a selfie of herself signing the contract with the caption - “Guess who’s officially an Interscope artist #ThisIsWhatDreamsAreMadeOf.”
Word on the street is that she has already begun working on her first album with the label which she has been alluding to on instagram with a couple photos of her in the studio. Exciting stuff.
