The world can be a nasty place, but Selena Gomez is making it better…one inspirational message and music video at a time.
Selena just released a simple black and white visual for her latest single, ‘Kill ‘Em With Kindness,’ and it’s probably one of her prettiest music video to date.
But, don’t get it twisted. Selena’s latest music video may be visually beautiful and artsy and all that jazz, but the message behind it all is pretty darn powerful. Okay, at first it looked like Selena just released a behind-the-scenes type video for her latest single, but it’s seriously so much more than that.
The visual starts off with a somber-looking Selena posing in front of backdrop while singing along to the lyrics of her song and before you can say ‘bore-ring,’ the video takes a very literal turn. Especially at this moment in the visual when Selena starts comparing harsh and negative words to bullets and things like that.
Beautifully portrayed, right? Aside from all the intense stares, over the shoulder looks, and flawless hair flips, the video also included quite a few amazing dancers into the mix.
I’m actually a little surprised Selena didn’t bust a move or two with the rest of the talented dancers on set for the video. And can we just take a moment to talk about this fierce part in the video where Selena is just dressed in what appears to be a silk-like maxi dress while strutting her stuff down a hallway? Work it, girl.
If looks could kill, am I right?? The whole video was just an amazing work of art. It was kind of like a big middle finger to the haters because as rude and hurtful as their words and opinions can be, Selena is just going to keep on keepin’ on.
