It looks like Selena Gomez will be showcasing her health struggles in an upcoming documentary.
Selena Gomez has been relatively open about her fight with lupus, but this upcoming documentary teases a whole lot more. A source exclusive to InTouch revealed today that QUOTE “She’s making a documentary about her health issues,” a source exclusively says. “Selena will talk about her journey, give viewers insight into lupus and clear up any misunderstandings.”
The triple threat superstar hopes that her film will be able to inspire others, both those suffering from lupus and other chronic conditions. The source added that "Since having the transplant, Selena’s a changed woman and appreciates how lucky she is,” adds the source. “The whole experience has been life-changing."
Although this news is a big reveal, it’s not completely surprising, as Selena dropped a few hints along the way. Most notably, with the news of her recent kidney transplant, Selena’s friend and donor posted on Instagram, QUOTE “This was part of our story, and we will share it soon, but what is important now is that this is not the only story.”
Thankfully, Selena is doing a LOT better since her transplant, with sources reporting that she was kicking butt in a kickboxing class just weeks after the news of her surgery broke. According to a trainer at the studio she worked out at in New York, “She just came in and went hard. We were all, ‘Okay, that’s what I’m talking about!...She killed it!”
The documentary isn’t the only movie the songstress has coming up: She’s also hard at work on set for the new Woody Allen flick in which she shares an on screen romance with actor Timothee Chalamet as evidenced by this steamy kiss…
We’re just glad Selena is doing well, considering lupus is a lifelong condition and that, according to InTouch, the news that she needed a transplant made her panic. We are sure her documentary will educate and inspire, and can’t wait to see it. How excited are you for the documentary?
