Mine water being pumped to fill up the Sungai Selangor dam is safe according to Dr Ahmad Yunus Hairi, the Selangor exco in charge of Youth, Sports, Infrastructure and Public Amenities.

He said samples taken from the Hang Tuah Mine Pond by the Selangor Water Management Board (LUAS) had tested negative for bacteria that caused Leptospirosis, and had not exceeded the bacteria and chemical content parameters set by the Selangor Health Department.
