Shane Dawson Gets EMOTIONAL In New Trailer & Reveals New Merch!

After what seems like years of teasing a secret collab, Shane Dawson and Jeffree Star officially dropped the trailer for The Beautiful World of Jeffree Star, but it seems to be anything but “beautiful”...
What’s up guys, it’s Emile Ennis Jr. back here on Clevver News, and the cat is officially out of the bag… well, sort of. Shane Dawson finally revealed his highly anticipated “secret project” and second docuseries he’d been working on with makeup mogul Jeffrey Star, in the form of a four-minute trailer, but we still have so many questions.
Throughout the day yesterday, Shane had been teasing the exact time he’d be releasing the trailer for his new YouTube series, and come time of its release, he also let fans know that the two had been filming content since January.
He tweeted QUOTE, “I can’t believe something we’ve been working on all year and put all of our hearts in is finally starting to come out tomorrow. i’ve never felt this excited, nervous, and emotionally invested in my life. thank you guys for letting us take the time to do this. it means so much :,)”
The trailer is filled with clips of what’s to come in the actual series, however, in lieu of dialogue, somber vocals from American Idol alumn Catie Turner plays throughout the entirety of the trailer… but don’t be fooled, you guys -- without ANY speaking, we’ve just unveiled a whole mound of hints at what it’s really like in the life of Jeffree Star behind closed doors.
So let’s break this down. We know that the series will follow a little bit of Jeffree’s growing beauty empire, Shane’s possible role in the dabbling of the beauty world, some of their personal lives, and even the YouTube-centric-turned-personal drama that involved some of the beauty industry, including Jeffree, earlier this year.
But this time around, Shane seems to be adding the focus of his own personal and professional endeavors. Exhibit A: The pig mirror & pig backpack:
Many fans were quick to jump at the fact that a collab beauty line is coming due to Shane’s signature pig branding, and it’s likely that theory is coming true.
Next up, need I say more than James Charles? The series will definitely be going in much greater detail about the whole Tati Westbrook basically annihilating James Charles thing.
The trailer shows Shane and Ryland’s raw reaction watching Tati’s infamous video that caused James to lose upwards of 5 million followers, to the point where Shane was actually in tears… so will we be seeing more of Shane’s part in the Tati drama? Like I said, some juicy stuff coming your way, guys.
Aside from the casual private jets, head-to-toe Gucci tracksuits, and swarms of fans AKA just a typical day in the life of a massive influencer, it looks like we’ll also get even more footage from around the time of Shane’s proposal to his fiance Ryland, and more insight on their day-to-day lives.
Fan reactions to the video began flooding the internet literally seconds after Shane dropped the video, and as we all know with any public forum, very mixed reviews to the trailer also came barreling in.
Many fans took to Twitter to share their excitement for the upcoming series, like one user who basically summed it ALL up, writing, “Ok but that new shane dawson series trailer is giving me crazy fans, giving me james charles scandal, giving me proposal video, giving me boujee morgan, giving me blue andrew, giving me supportive ryland, giving me makeup making, giving me toilet breakdowns and I AM LIVING”
Another fan praised the bond between Shane and Jeffree, writing, “There is nothing more pure than @shanedawson and @jeffreestar friendship. I wish I had something like that.”
Although the general consensus was the initial first stage of pure shock and extreme anticipation, many were less than thrilled that Shane was featuring Jeffree for the second time.

Me: *insert unamused face here*”
Another fan said, “Shane Dawson made another doc on Jeffree..... sis take it back no one asked for this.”
