Shawn Mendes CONFIRMS Niall Horan Collab?

It doesn’t count as an official musical bromance in the industry until a collaboration is in the works, and thanks to Shawn, we’re one step closer.
They’ve been talking the talk for quite some time, but Shawn Mendes has just revealed he and One Direction’s Niall Horan are about to walk the walk… straight to the studio. Shawn opened up to The Daily Star this week confirming a writing sesh and possible duet in the very near future saying QUOTE, “I'll definitely be working with Niall very soon. I got a chance to speak to him recently and we are definitely going to write together.”
And seeing that 1D is still in the midst of a long hiatus, Niall seems to have quite some time on his hands to spare, so it looks like the ball’s in Shawn’s court, so hopefully he won’t keep us waiting too long. Shawn talked about finding studio time ASAP, also stating QUOTE, “We are going into the studio as soon as we can get our diaries together and see what we come up with. I would love to do something for my next record as well as his – we will have to wait and see.”
There is no word yet on whether this collaboration will remain a writing gig or whether the two will actually duet together, but who knows, this could even lead to a jam sesh with the other 1D lads. According to Shawn, working with any and all of Niall’s fellow bandmates is also up for discussion, as he stated, “I'd also be up for working with them as well. I think they are all great. I just know Niall better and we have become closer than I have with the others.”
Along with Shawn, the Internet has also had much to say about the future collab, with many memes to follow… one user tweeting, “Shawn Mendes and Niall Horan collab confirmed” along with a popular GIF of Amy Poehler mouthing the words, “Everything hurts and I’m dying”. Another user attached a photo of Victoria Beckham with her leg raised high in the air, writing “Niall Horan ft. Shawn Mendes”.
