But all friendly competition aside, we’ve also got ourselves a blooming musical bromance, because what started out as possible shade throwing has evolved into a lyrical love fest.
My have the tables turned since Justin confessed he didn’t know who Shawn Mendes was during an on-air interview, because Shawn’s newest Instagram video covering JB’s “What Do You Mean?” got us all like, “Uhh, Justin WHO?!”
Ok, so we still totally love Justin’s original version, but Shawn put his own acoustic spin on the cover, which comes shortly after Justin posted a photo claiming he was “so proud” of his fellow Canada-native’s hit “Stitches”, seemingly taking back his word on the whole “Who is Shawn Mendes?” conundrum.
So naturally, Shawn and his flattery took matters even further by posting the short clip of Justin’s track, and the burning question STILL remains as to WHEN THIS EPIC DUET WILL OCCUR between the two lads because we just can’t take it any longer.
