The Dewan Rakyat erupted into a shouting match when Bagan MP Lim Guan Eng requested for the speaker to block the police investigation that saw Former Finance Minister II Husni Hanadzlah called in for questioning by Bukit Aman over a speech he made in parliament as it allegedly breaks his oath of secrecy he took as a cabinet minister.
Though Lim argued that the Inspector-General of Police violated the supremacy of parliament and the immunity of lawmakers in the house, Deputy Speaker Ronald Kiandee rejected the call to make a ruling against the investigation.
