Six men in Penang have died after they were believed to have consumed cheap liqour.
George Town OCPD Asst Comm Che Zaimani Che Awang said on Monday the victims were two locals, three Myanmar nationals, and another from India, while seven other Myanmar men are currently receiving medical treatment at the Penang Hospital.
Police also raided a shop in Komtar on June 15 and confiscated illegal liquor worth an estimated RM8,000 but did not state if the raid and the deaths were related.
