The House proceedings was interrupted for a brief moment today when Dewan Rakyat Speaker Pandikar Amin Mulia requested for a new gavel.
Pandikar asked Beruas MP, Ngeh Koo Ham who was speaking to sit down as he requested for a new gavel.
After explaining the situation and requesting for a more solid gavel, Baling MP, Abdul Azeez Rahim said that it should be changed to a metal one and that this was all the oppositions fault.
Pandikar later took his leave and was then replaced by Deputy Speaker Ismail Mohamed Said who said that nevertheless, the broken gavel would not prevent him from taking action.
