Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng said the Sales and Service Tax (SST) threshold for eateries will be increased to RM1.5mil.
Lim said he hoped the increase in the threshold would prevent restaurant owners from increasing prices.
The Finance Minister said that at the media briefing along with Customs director-general Datuk Subromaniam Tholasy and Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry enforcement director Datuk Roslan Mahayudin.
