Starbucks Releases 'Bright Magenta' Frappuccino Just In Time For Summer

Over the past year or so, starbucks has seriously stepped up their game. The coffee giant has launched a TON of tasty, and Instagram worthy drinks, and they don’t seem to be showing signs of slowing down any time soon. And now, just in time for summer, they have whipped up a brand new Frappuccino that you will LOVE on a hot summer’s day!
Starbucks announced its newest menu item, called the serious strawberry Frappuccino, and let us be the first to say it sounds DELISH. The new Frappuccino is basically a remix of an old drink. It takes the OG Strawberries and crème frapp and turns the volume all the way up!
The drink starts with the Strawberries and Crème frapp that you know and love, and adds layers of strawberry fruit puree and vanilla whipped cream. The base is made with ice, milk, and the brand new strawberry infusion blend. A 16-oz drink will run you around $4.95 to $5.45, depending on location. It contains 350 calories, 14 grams of fat, and 50 grams of sugar. So if you love strawberries, or have a bit of a sweet tooth, this is definitely the drink for you!
Not only does this drink sound incredibly tasty, but like most things lately, its intense magenta color is extremely photogenic, so I expect to see a ton of these popping up all over Instagram. And best of all this Frappuccino, unlike other frapps, like the the unicorn Frappuccino, or the mermaid Frappuccino, this one is not limited edition, so once it hits Starbucks locations nationwide on June 5th, it’s here to stay!
The new Frappuccino isn’t the only item Starbucks has decided to make permanent this summer. Last month, the coffee chain added two new Frappuccinos to its permanent menu for the first time in 16 years!
The first is the Ultra Caramel Frappuccino, which is a Dark caramel coffee Frappuccino, enveloped between layers of whipped cream that's infused with cold brew, white chocolate and dark caramel. Then, on each layer of whipped cream, sits a dollop of dark caramel sauce. The second is the Triple Mocha Frappuccino, which is a mocha coffee Frappuccino enveloped between layers of whipped cream that’s also infused with cold brew, white chocolate mocha, and dark caramel!
And as far as food goes, the chain has also added some pretty tasty items to its permanent menu, like the Chicken Chorizo and Tortilla Sous Vide Egg Bite and the salty-sweet Kitchen Sink Cookie, made with pretzels, marshmallows, pecans, and chocolate chunks. Starbucks will also add several other bakery additions this summer, including Frosted Doughnut Cake Pops, Confetti Sugar Cookies, and Summer Berry Swirl Croissants to the menu!
We’re not sure about you guys, but this definitely calls for an afternoon Starbucks run!
