STAYING IN JAKARTA // FOUR POINTS BY SHERATON JAKARTA THAMRIN (HOTEL REVIEW)

During my stay in Jakarta, I have been staying at the Four Points by Sheraton Jakarta Thamrin Hotel.

This is my review of this hotel.

The hotel is situated on Jalan MH Thamrin (Four Points by Sheraton Jakarta Thamrin, Jalan M.H. Thamrin, Kav. 9, Jakarta, ID-JK 10350, Indonesia) which is one of the main roads that runs through Jakarta.

It was a really awesome hotel in every way.

The room was really nice. It was a good size, very modern and clean. It was a very nice place to both work and rest. It came with a lot of small touches like the usual shampoo + conditioner, toothbrush sets and one thing that impressed me most, which was four bottles of water which were replenished daily. This was great as it is quite easy to get dehydrated walking around in the heat of Jakarta for hours at a time.

I had a great sleep, thanks to the huge bed, comfortable pillows and room sound proofing. So even though I was right beside Jalan MH Thamrin, I couldn't hear any traffic.

Breakfast was another huge plus as it was really vast in what was available. There was Western food (beef bacon, chicken sausage, beans, hash browns, etc,), Asian Food (fried rice, dumplings, noodles, porridges, etc), lots of pastries, cakes, pancakes, waffles as well as a huge amount of fruit, cheeses and meats. I ate like a king every day.

Location was awesome as it is very central Jakarta. Only 20/25 miinutes walk from Sudirman Baru train station (which links to Jakarta International Airport), 10 minutes walk from Grand Indonesia Mall and straight across the street from Sarinah Mall (which has a large amount of restaurants, cafes, eateries and place to buy a SIM card (IndoSat - 6GB for 150,000 Rupiah).

My favourite thing about Four Points by Sheraton Jakarta Thamrin was the staff. They made my stay one of the most enjoyable I have had staying at any hotel. They were so friendly, always talking to me, asking how my day was and if I needed anything. They always remembered my name too. I spoke with the General Manager, Head Chef and Guest Relations Advisor and they were all so nice and helpful.

There is also a Gym, Spa and plenty of meeting rooms in the hotel.

This is my first time staying in a Four Points by Sheraton and I will definitely stay with them again.
