Thanks to one epic fail by the press, Ariana pregnancy rumors were running rampant this morning.
False pregnancy rumors are something that’s become an unavoidable staple for female celebs, especially since one cleverly angled paparazzi shot can make any bloated belly look like a baby bump. But Ariana Grande fell victim to one of the worst false pregnancy rumors we’ve ever seen this morning, because “The Associated Press” actually tweeted that Mac Miller’s better half was prego from their account.
The usually legit and fact-checked news source posted a photo of Ari, with the caption QUOTE, “Ariana Grande is pregnant, guess who’s the father? #ArianaGrande.”
Ummmm, what?! Of course fans were freaking out and many believed the tweet to be true since the Associated Press is a very different source of information that your run of the mill gossip mag. But almost immediately the tweet was taken down by the AP, and followed up with a tweet clearing things up that read QUOTE, “@APEntertainment has deleted from its account a tweet about Ariana Grande. It was unauthorized. We are investigating.”
Okay that’s a HUGE mistake, but hopefully they can clear up who’s behind and why it was sent out because poor Ari and Mac are probably getting about a thousand texts over it this morning.
And in other non-crazy-pregnancy-rumor Ari news, the full version of her rendition of “Beauty and the Beast” with John Legend was released by Disney today, and it is EVERYTHING.
As much as we love the original version from the animated classic, Ari and John’s updated version of the song has a little more of an R&B vibe, which is perfect for a modern-day take on the fairytale.
Alright guys, now it’s time for you to tell me what YOU about the Associated Press’s tweet fail? And do you love Ari and John Legend’s version of “Beauty and the Beast”?
