Police have confirmed that 14 crew, the pilot and at least five students have sustained injuries following a helicopter crash at Sekolah Menengah Balung in Tawau, Sabah.
Tawau police chief Asst Comm Fadil Marcus said most of them sustained minor injuries and updates would be provided on their condition soon.
The Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) helicopter was in the midst of a monthly training exercise when it crashed on the roof of one of the school's buildings at 7.35am on Tuesday.
All those injured including several students who were in trauma have been sent to the Tawau hospital for treatment.Police have directed for the school to close for the day.
There have been no updates on the cause of the crash as yet.
