So if you’ve been dying to get Taylor’s attention via Tumblr or Instagram Live, your wildest dreams are about to come true.
It might’ve been an entire year since Taylor Swift was nowhere to be found, but in true Taylor redemption, she’s now seen on multiple platforms, like DirecTV, all over UPS trucks, and now… at the touch of a button right inside your App Store.
After many fans posted screenshots and videos of Taylor creeping in on their live videos last week, come to find out, Taylor had much bigger plans up her sleeve. Thanks to the announcement made today, Taylor will be taking her fan-stalking to all new levels. She revealed in a video posted to her YouTube account that she’s been working on a brand-new app called The Swift Life, that brings fans together to bond over the thing they have most in common – their love for Taylor Swift.
Users who join the app will receive exclusive pics and videos directly from Taylor, along with “exclusive Taylor stuff” like Taymojis, stickers and photos. The app will be free to download, and oh… did I mention that Taylor can see, like and comment on EVERYTHING you do? Yeah, I’m officially sold! So just think of this as an Instagram, exclusively for Taylor Swift fans.
The mission of Tay’s newest endeavor is to build a “creative, inclusive and community-driven place” for fans. The Swift Life is the latest work of Glu Mobile, the same company behind Kim Kardashian: Hollywood, Katy Perry Pop, Nicki Minaj: The Empire and Britney Spears: The American Dream. Glu CEO Nick Earl referred to Taylor’s app as “a new digital entertainment project” and “a deeply social environment.”
The wait is almost over to get your hands on Taylor’s new app as its set to drop sometime later this year, but lest we not forget that in less than one month, Taylor’s new album Reputation will be released on November 10th. SO many big things headed our way, so Swifties – I leave you with one final question: Are you “…Ready For It?”
Ok I had to, it was just too easy! But right now I’m curious to know all your thoughts on Taylor’s new app, so get to talking down here in the comments, and after that, you can click right over here to get even more details on Taylor creeping on her fans.
