Taylor Swift Performs "I Don't Wanna Live Forever" For First Time & Reveals NO 2017 Concert Plans

Taylor Swift brought her A-Game during the pre-Super Bowl concert in Houston over the weekend, and in true Taylor fashion, she even had a few surprises up her sleeve.
And not only did Taylor put on an EPIC show, but what the crowd soon came to find out was that they may have just attended her ONLY show this year.
We’ve gone an entire year without seeing a sold-out Taylor Swift show, and this weekend during her pre-Super Bowl debut, she gave a crowd of 9,000 fans a night to remember, singing hit after hit, along with two never-before-sung tracks. Following her opening song “New Romantics,” Taylor welcomed the crowd and although last weekend was quite possibly football’s biggest weekend of the year, let’s be real: priorities, people! Taylor asked the crowd QUOTE, “You have come from all over the world – possibly to see football, but would it be all right with you if we played some music first?”
Cleary that was a no-brainer, and she continued to perform her 18-track set. Much like her 1989 World Tour, she kicked off with “New Romantics” but switched it up with upbeat hits like “22”, “Blank Space,” and “Style”. Fans were quickly pleased to hear two new tracks she’s never performed onstage before, including her newest duet with Zayn “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever” in a sultry, stripped down version.
Once the crowd went wild once they realized what she was about to sing, Tay had to assure them that Zayn was “definitely not here,” but her first-ever perfection of a performance certainly made up for it. She also performed her song “Better Man” for the first time, originally written for country group Little Big Town, and quickly got the crowd back up on their feet for the remainder of the show, complete with those sassy smirks, signature dance moves and dramatic hair flips we all know and love…
Taylor had one more surprise up her sleeve, and what the crowd came to realize was that they were witnessing the ONLY show Taylor is set to perform this year. She announced to the crowd that she currently has no plans to tour in 2017, saying, “As far as I know I'm only doing one show in 2017, and as far as I know, this is that show. By coming to this show tonight, you are attending 100% of this year’s tour dates.”
Many, including myself, are hoping this won’t actually be Taylor’s ONLY performance this year, but I’ve just gotta say, she’s always been one to surprise us, so who knows, maybe she’ll pop up at another wedding, Bar Mitzfah, bridal shower, or even a 9,000-audience auditorium.
