Primary Industries Minister Teresa Kok said that Malaysia is always prepared to engage with the Solvent Extractors' Association (SEA) of India over the palm oil issue.
She said it was important to let the two governments sort out any differences in opinions and not do any harm to bilateral trade.
On Monday the Indian trade body representing oilseed crushers had, advised its members not to buy palm oil from Malaysia, taking a cue from New Delhi’s protest against Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s remarks on the Kashmir conflict.
