Tessa Thompson COMES OUT as Bisexual & GUSHES Over Janelle Monae Relationship

After many, many months of speculation, Tessa Thompson is finally coming out to reveal the nature of her relationship with Janelle Monae once and for all. In a new interview with Net-A-Porter, Tessa spoke candidly about how she feels about Janelle.
Tessa opened up and couldn’t help but gush about Janelle. She said QUOTE, “We [Janelle and I] love each other deeply. We’re so close, we vibrate on the same frequency. If people want to speculate about what we are, that’s okay. It doesn’t bother me.”
While speaking on the same topic, Tessa did admit that she and Janelle are both very private – which is why neither of them have spoken about their relationship until now.
However, because of the state of the world today and how so many LGBTQA+ people don’t have the necessary support they need like she does, Tessa wondered if she should be more open about her own relationship to help others. During this thought Tessa also touched on her own sexual identity.
She told the outlet QUOTE, “It’s tricky, because Janelle and I are just really private people and we’re both trying to navigate how you reconcile wanting to have that privacy and space, and also wanting to use your platform and influence. I can take things for granted because of my family – it’s so free and you can be anything that you want to be. I’m attracted to men and also to women. If I bring a woman home, [or] a man, we don’t even have to have the discussion. That was something I was conscientious of in terms of this declaration around Janelle and myself. I want everyone else to have that freedom and support that I have from my loved ones. But so many people don’t. So, do I have a responsibility to talk about that? Do I have a responsibility to say in a public space that this is my person?”
While she didn’t answer those very thoughtful questions in the interview, time will only tell if Tessa actually decides to take on that responsibility.
