Thousands of spectators thronged the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) airbase in Butterworth Penang on Saturday to enjoy the RMAF Open Day. Held in conjunction with RMAF’s 60th anniversary, the program showcased almost all of its assets including Nuri helicopters, EC 725 helicopters and EC120B helicopters to the public. Air Force chief Gen Tan Sri Affendi Buang gave assurances that the Butterworth Air Force base will remain in operation.
