Tom Holland accidentally reveals the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel title!
And when we say “accidentally” we mean accidentally-on-purpose.
Tom Holland, otherwise known as the actor famous for spilling the beans, is at it again. This weekend Tom was at Seattle’s Ace Comic-Con representing the Spider-Man franchise. It seems Tom was personally upset by the fact that there wasn’t any Spider-Man news to reveal to fans. So he took it upon himself to “accidentally” show off the Homecoming sequel’s script title in a backstage video that uploaded to Instagram. Oops.
If you can’t make out what it says on the iPad screen, it’s: Spider-Man: Far From Home. And there you have the official Spider-Man Homecoming sequel movie title. If you’re still not sure that Tom MEANT to do that, just watch what happens next.
It’s cute how he shows the iPad to the screen AGAIN and tries to act like he’s just super excited about “Spider-Man 2”. Tom joked in his video caption, “Sorry for no announcements, but I love you guys ♥️”. I guess this gets him out any trouble with Marvel and all those contracts he’s signed?! Something tells us Tom is receiving an unusually large amount of phone calls this morning.
The upcoming sequel film is set to be released in July 2019 and reportedly also stars Jake Gyllenhaal as the villain Mysterio. If Tom had it his way, we’d see Venom enter the Marvel Cinematic Universe sometime in the near future. Over the weekend Tom was asked which Spider-Man villain would he want to see in the MCU, to which he answered: “Maybe Venom?” With Tom having already defeated Vulture in Spider-Man: Homecoming, and a standalone Venom movie coming out in the fall, his response would actually make sense. Is Tom teasing ANOTHER spoiler here? Will Tom be making a cameo as Spider-Man in this fall’s Venom film? Tell us what you guys think Tom’s answer means.
