TVD Comic Con 2014 Panel►►
Comic-Con 2014 is officially a wrap, but we’re still not done talking about how awesome it was. As you know Clevver was right there on the front lines bringing you all your favorite scoop, but maybe there’s some news you missed out on?
Fear not! As we’re here to break down some of the best TV highlights from Comic-Con 2014 that you might have missed out on. So let’s get started, shall we?
First up, let’s talk about some of the reveals from the American Horror Story: Freak Show panel. As expected, not TOO much was given away, but we do know that actor John Carroll Lynch will play the main villain on the fourth season of the hit FX show. Also, all the character names were revealed, and since it’s an ensemble cast, we’re just going to give you the names of the main bunch. So, we have Jessica Lange playing a woman named Elsa Mars, Evan Peters playing a character named Jimmy Darling, while his parents will be played by Kathy Bates and Michael Chiklis who are named Ethel Darling and Wendell Del Toredo, respectively. As we’re sure you know, AHS: Freak Show will take place in 1950s Jupiter, Florida. Oh, and there’s still no word on if Neil Patrick Harris will take part, after he and show creator Ryan Murphy had a bit of a back on forth on Twitter discussing the possibility.
Next, we have the hit ABC show, Once Upon a Time. The fairy-tale themed show is getting a new breath of live thanks to the Frozen crew taking up residency in Storybrook, but one thing we found out is that there is going to be a Frozen wedding! A short clip was shown at Comic-Con, and it apparently features Elsa and Anna at their parent’s grave, with Elsa then telling Anna she has a surprise for her upcoming wedding! But don’t fret, she’s marrying Kristoff, NOT Hans. Though they are on the hunt to cast Hans, so maybe that means he’ll be wreaking some havoc? Guess we’ll have to wait and see!
Moving right along, we have some SERIOUS Game of Thrones scoop! A whole slew of new characters will be thrown into the mix for the HBO show’s fifth season, and they were all revealed at Comic Con. So, who exactly will be taking up residency in the Westeros universe? In total, nine new actors were cast, with the most notable being Jonathan Pryce and Oscar nominees Keisha Castle-Hughes. Other stars who are joining the cast include Toby Sebastian, Nell Tiger Free, and Jessica Henwick.
Speaking of casting news, there’s a new face coming to ABC’s Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD, as Lucy Lawless is joining in on the fun. The former Warrior Princess is set to play a quote “badass SHIELD veteran.” Would you really expect anything else from her?
And as for one of our favorite shows, The Originals? It appears as though Klaus will be going into a very, VERY dark place in season two after SPOILER ALERT – losing his daughter. Also, Teen Wolf’s Daniel Sharman has joined the cast of the hit CW show’s sophomore season and will apparently have an instant connection with Davina. Oh la, la! We can’t wait!
And while we’re on the subject of former Teen Wolf cast members, let’s talk about the actual show! During the MTV show’s panel at Comic Con, it was revealed that the fifth season is getting super sized, ya’ll. The season will consist of 20 episodes, broken into two different parts, which is certainly a step up from their usual 12 ep seasons. More Tyler Posey and Dylan O’Brien? Sign. Us. Up!
And last but certainly not least, there was a pretty big reveal during the Arrow panel at Comic Con, as we learned that DC super villain Ra’s al Ghul will be the show’s bad guy for season three. No word yet on who will play the villain, but as you might recall, Liam Neeson played him in Batman Begins.
