He originally had two additional charges, one for inciting a riot, and another for endangering the welfare of a minor, but those were later dropped.
Though his attorney, Doug Norwood, didn’t respond to People’s request for a comment right away, he finally spoke about the matter to the Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, saying QUOTE “They overcharged him, they tried to get him for inciting a riot. The video did not show any of that.”
Keith Foster, who is a spokesperson for the Rogers Police Department spoke about the incident, saying that Travis had QUOTE “encouraged people to rush the stage and bypass security protocols to ensure concert goer safety.” He continued on to say, “During the rush to the stage several people were injured, including an employee from the security company hired to help monitor and control the crowd, and a member of the police department.”
Travis reportedly had to pay over $6,000 to two people who claimed they were injured during the incident. OOf, that’s a chunk of change.
