Troian Bellisario Reveals Struggle With Anorexia & Mental Health Treatment

Troian Bellisario opens up about her struggles with mental health and the treatment that saved her life
And now she’s speaking up about the importance of treatment for others facing similar mental health issues
Troian Bellisario is not shy about her past struggles with anorexia. And now she’s letting it be known that her experiences with the dangerous eating disorder and the treatment that ultimately saved her life is a huge factor in why she’s voting for Hilary Clinton. Troian opened up to Teen Vogue to voice her support for the Democratic candidate saying QUOTE “I’m such a huge supporter of Mrs. Clinton for so many reasons, specifically because she has been such a huge advocate for health care, and her definition of health care includes mental health care.”
Troian received extensive mental health care after battling anorexia and to this day recognizes that it definitely saved her life, saying QUOTE “If I had just been shunned to the side as not having real problems, I don’t know that I would be living today.”
Hearing her speak so openly about such a personal issue shows just how strong one of our favorite Pretty Little Liars is, and her strength continues as she now hopes to get the conversation started about the importance of health care for everybody, saying QUOTE “I just want to make sure that everybody has the same opportunity for treatment that I have, and I thinl that we have to make sure that our government invests in those programs.”
