BN and PAS retracted their support for Dr Mahathir Mohamad, saying the latter wants to form a unity government based on individuals and not along party lines.
Umno secretary-general Annuar Musa said Mahathir's plan also goes against the conditional support that they will not cooperate with DAP.
"As such the support we gave to Mahathir was to form a coalition without DAP. We are now forced to take it back," he told a press conference at PWTC.
