Petaling Jaya Selatan (PJS) Umno division vice-chief Abdul Mutalif Abdul Rahim has claimed that he is a victim of false news following a video which went viral on social media.
He said accusations that he was paying foreign citizens to vote for BN to change the Selangor government is fake news.
As such, Mutalif, along with an individual who was alleged to be a foreigner in the viral video, Azmi Abdul Malik, have lodged a police report on Thursday.
The video, which went viral on Wednesday, claimed that Mutalif wanted to pay a sum of RM3,000 to an individual.
Mutalif explained that he was actually giving the money to help Azmi after Azmi’s workshop, which he had owned for nine years, caught on fire last Monday.
