The Umno Supreme Council has decided not to extend the memorandum of understanding between the BN-led federal government and Pakatan Harapan after its deadline this July.

It added that the party would hold an extraordinary general meeting on May 14th to amend Umno's constitution concerning the time period for party elections.

Meanwhile, the council also decided that Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob will be its poster boy for the upcoming 15th general election.

Umno secretary-general Ahmad Maslan in a statement announced that the council has agreed to name Ismail Sabri as their choice for prime minister after GE15.
