The new 2019 Volkswagen Touareg has been eight years in the making and it's well worth the wait. We got to test the new Touareg deep in the Sahara desert to see what the new luxury SUV is capable of.

Pros:
Size-defying agility (with every suspension option ticked).
Handsome shape.
Superbly refined cabin.

Cons:
Low-speed turbo lag.
Deserves a V8.
Won’t be cheap.
