The by-elections for the Pulai parliamentary seat and the Simpang Jeram state seat are set to take place on the 9th of September after the sudden demise of former Amanah deputy president Salahuddin Ayob in July.

Simpang Jeram used to be a PAS stronghold, which was taken over by Amanah in 2018 under Salahuddin's leadership.

In this by-election, PAS is trying to reclaim the lost ground, with Perikatan Nasional even expressing its intention to establish a foothold here for 'the green wave' to extend from northern Muar to southern Johor.

Will Amanah be able to defend these seats? Or will PN be able to get a foothold for the 'green wave'. Let's hear what the voters have to say.
