Deputy Prime Minister Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail denied Umno supreme council member Lokman Noor Adam's new sodomy allegation against PKR president-elect Anwar Ibrahim.
"It has been answered... it's fake news," Wan Azizah said.
She was met after launching the National Counselling Month at the Women, Family and Community Development Ministry in Putrajaya.
PKR communications director Fahmi Fadzil has lodged a police report over the allegation.
Lokman had claimed in his Facebook post that Mediacorp Singapore had reported that an Indonesian student had lodged a police report in Singapore saying that he had been sodomised by Anwar.
Mediacorp has denied publishing such a news report and had contacted Lokman to remove the post. The Singaporean media organisation also pointed out that the republic's police force had denied receiving such a police report.
The post was later deleted and Lokman clarified that the article was not published by Mediacorp.
