Bersatu Youth chief Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal has admitted that he met with his former party boss Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman recently, but denies that his meeting was in any way related to the latter's court cases.

"I would like to confirm that there was a meeting between the two of us recently.

"This meeting is in a personal capacity as friends. Syed Saddiq is a youth leader, former minister of youth and sports and former Bersatu Youth chief and still plays a role in leading the current discourse among young people.

"The idea I brought is to set aside political rivalry and mobilise the spirit of unification of young people in order to rebuild the country collectively," Wan Fayhsal said in a statement.
