Machang MP Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal has urged the government to table the proposed amendments of the Syariah Courts (Criminal Jurisdiction) Act 1965 (Act 355) to “avoid the sin” of not doing its job.
Wan Fayhsal claimed that the proposed amendments were necessary as they would restore the image of syariah courts after several parties challenged its authority.
