Machang MP Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal has asked Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim to take action against local media for labelling Hamas as militants.
He also asked Anwar what was the government's stance towards the issue.
In response, Anwar said he agreed there must be awareness in Malaysia and the media must understand the concerns and sensitivities of the people, as well as recognise the Palestinians' rights.
