Perikatan Nasional deputy chairperson Ahmad Faizal Azumu said PN accepted their defeat in the Kuala Kubu Baharu by-election with an open heart.

Commenting on the reason for PN's defeat, he said the low voter turnout had worked against the coalition.

According to Faizal, one of the factors that contributed to PN's defeat was because outstation voters did not come back to vote.
