Prime minister Anwar Ibrahim says the proposed Fixed-Term Parliament Act is not a priority at this time, although he will look forward to further discussions.
Anwar said the perception of an attempt to topple the government is baseless, and that's why there's no urgency for such a Bill.
He added talk of a vote of confidence for him is only played up by the Opposition because they are weak and desperate.
