Government spokesman Fahmi Fadzil said the proposal to increase the OPR was not discussed in the Cabinet meeting today.

However, he said that PM Anwar Ibrahim is concerned about the impact it would have on the people.

As for now, Fahmi said the matter will be left to Bank Negara Malaysia to make a decision.
