Former health minister Khairy Jamaluddin has questioned the reason for blocking a bill aimed at making it illegal for those born after 2007 to buy or consume nicotine products.

Khairy questioned why the current bill, which was close to the one he had previously introduced, was considered as unconstitutional by Attorney-General Ahmad Terrirudin Salleh when there was no problems when he had brought it to the AG's chambers before this.

He said this while commenting on the Control of Smoking Products for Public Health Bill 2023, commonly referred to as the "generational end-game" (GEG) bill, in an episode of his Keluar Sekejap podcast yesterday.
