The Sabah Wildlife Department has identified villagers who made finger food out of a young crocodile at Kampung Dungkahang in Penampang, Sabah.
Sabah Wildlife Department director Augustine Tuuga said the case is being investigated because crocodiles are a protected species under Sabah's Wildlife Conservation Enactment.
