Wine Water officially exists for those who wish to avoid hangovers
Yes you heard that right, wine water is a real thing that exists and you can officially enjoy the taste of wine without the hangover.
O. Vine Wine Grape Infused Water will make its stateside debut at the Fancy Food Show in New York on June 30th and it’s a pretty interesting concept to say the least.
According to swirled.com wine water is part of the “near water” beverage category, similar to seltzers, teas and other lightly flavored beverages.
It’s a light, refreshing and non-alcoholic alternative to a bottle of wine that is apparently perfect for summer sipping.
O. Vine has the appearance of a light wine and combines the natural essence of grapes with pure spring water.
Each bottle of O. Vine holds 350 milliliters of wine water and offers up the health benefits of wine’s antioxidants without the alcohol component.
So yes, the drink is non-alcoholic, which may be good or bad depending on your perspective, but it does contain the good-for-you parts of wine by using extracts from wine grape skins and seeds.
One of the compounds found in grape skin, resveratrol, may reportedly help boost cardiovascular health and protect against cancer.
CEO of Practical Innovation Tal Leizer said in a press release QUOTE, "Our mission was to create a pure water sensation that not only inspires consumers to appreciate wine's complex flavors and aromas, but also leverages sustainable principles by reusing the skins and seeds from the wine grapes remaining from the winemaking process,"
O. vine will come in still and bubbly flavors in both red and white varieties including cabernet, syrah, merlot, petit verdot, and Riesling.
As of right now there’s no word on where you’ll be able to get your hands on wine water but for now, we’re probably going to stick with the real deal!
