Malaysia is in need of more blood donors as elective medical procedures resume at healthcare facilities and the number of traffic accidents on the rise with more vehicles on the road with the implementation of the conditional movement control order (CMCO).

Health Ministry director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the drop in blood collection is very worrying and urged people to donate blood.

Meanwhile Malaysia today recorded 31 new Covid-19 cases, putting the total number of infections above the 7,000 mark.
