Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said he would abide by the court’s decision after he was ordered to enter his defence in 47 counts of criminal breach of trust (CBT), bribery and money laundering linked to tens of millions of ringgit of funds from Yayasan Akalbudi.
“When the defence stage of the trial begins, my legal team will carry out their duties in accordance with the procedure laid out by the court,” the Umno president said during a brief press conference outside the Kuala Lumpur Courts Complex at Jalan Duta.
