Higher education minister Zambry Abd Kadir said Universiti Malaya could start offering the cardiothoracic surgery course by this October, and this will be followed by other universities.

He said this in response to a question from Ramkarpal Singh (PH-Bukit Gelugor) who had questioned whether other institutions would offer a post-graduate programme in cardiothoracic surgery.
