Zayn DEFENDS Gigi Hadid After Fans Accuse Her Of Mocking Asian People In Instagram Video

Gigi Hadid is getting dragged on Twitter over a video that younger sister Bella Hadid posted on Instagram over the weekend. The model is being accused of acting racist in the clip where she seems to be mocking Asian people. Watch for yourself as Gigi squints her eyes while holding up a cookie that appears to have the face of a Buddha.
Yes we can see why fans could take this the wrong way. Some defended Gigi’s actions on Twitter claiming she was just making fun of the cookie, not Asians. Others explained that Gigi didn’t realize the cookie looked like an Asian person.
One Direction fans found the video especially insensitive as Gigi’s boyfriend Zayn Malik is part Asian, with his father being British Pakistani. But hold up guys- Zayn quickly came to Gigi’s defense and responded to a comment on Twitter writing, “trust me… she likes asians ;)”.
Gigi herself hasn’t commented on the accusations. Ironically, this video surfaced the same week that Gigi’s Vogue China cover for March was released.
