Zendaya SLAYS Red Carpet, Kendall Jenner Gets DRAGGED, & More 2019 Emmys Fashion Moments!

The 71st Annual Primetime Emmy Awards were last night and there were of course some big winners, emotional speeches, and shocking moments, but we need to discuss all of the fashion because that’s why you clicked this video right?
What’s up y’all?! It’s Emile Ennis Jr. here with Clevver News and I’m here to talk about all of the looks from last night’s Emmy Awards because some of them had us and the internet shook for better or for worse. So let’s kick it off with someone who always slays, but still managed to take our breath away. Zendaya. So we were all patiently waiting for Zendaya to arrive and walk the carpet and it wasn’t looking good because the show was 10 minutes away from starting and still no Zendaya.
But y’all, it was worth the wait because Zendaya won the Emmys with her look and she wasn’t even nominated. Zendaya gave us Poison Ivy vibes in her custom Vera Wang gown and Brian Atwood shoes and she looked absolutely stunning. So many fans were saying that Zendaya won best dressed of the night and we are going to have to agree.
One fan said, “ZENDAYA CAME TO SERVE AT THE EMMYS. PERIOD”
Another user said, “She's not a model but i need to post this! Zendaya at the Emmys 2019 red carpet”
And then there was this fan who gave us the video of Zendaya that made our jaws drop. I mean, look how she just struts in that gown so effortlessly. Teach me your ways Zendaya because you are everything.
But just when we thought Zendaya couldn’t get any cuter, when she came out to present an award with RuPaul, she switched up her look by adding glasses.
Not only is she gorgeous, but she’s relatable and definitely didn’t want to mess up her lines.
This fan said, “zendaya in this dress and the red hair and the glasses is the cause of my death”
SAME GIRL. SAME.
But even though I could talk about Zendaya for an hour straight, we must move on to some of the other most talked about looks.
Kendall Jenner had a lot of people talking with her look. She arrived with her sister Kim. They were also presenters at the show and definitely made the audience laugh. Not sure if they were in on that joke, but we will save that for another video. This one is about fashion and Kendall arrived in a look that was fresh off the runway from Richard Quinn’s Spring 2020 collection. She was wearing a beautiful floral fitted gown with what looked to be a latex turtleneck underneath.
Sidenote, it was really hot and humid yesterday. So I know Kendall was sweating. Anyway, this was one of the boldest looks from the night and people had lots of reactions.
One person said, “literally what was the point of the latex turtleneck under kendall jenner’s dress???? she could’ve ate this look but,,, #Emmys”
And someone else said, “What in God’s name is Kendall Jenner wearing? #Emmys pic.twitter.com/89nrjPazGj”
But not everyone was against it, like this person who said, “Kendall Jenner serving Alice in Bondageland with that latex + floral getup #Emmys pic.twitter.com/LxUDdhT8xr”
And by the way, Kim’s dress may not have been as bold as Kendall’s, but she definitely looked gorgeous in her Vivienne Westwood gown.
Alright, since it’s the Emmys we have to talk about some of the looks from the Game of Throne’s cast.
Sophie Turner stunned in Louis Vuitton.
Maisie Williams gave us a little bit of everything in her JW Anderson getup.
And Emilia Clarke reminded us that a deep v never goes out of style in her Valentino gown.
But Gwendoline Christie’s outfit was the talk of the internet in her Gucci fit that had many comparing her to Jesus.
Now before we wrap this up, we talked about Billy Porter, but we have to highlight a few more of our favorite men’s looks, Kit Harrington did a no tie look and opted for boots instead of tuxedo shoes, but he honestly can do no wrong in our book. Queer Eye’s Antoni gave us old school Hollywood vibes and we are here for it all. Ru Paul was serving us a pattern in his pink and black suit. And we also loved Mahershala Ali’s sharp look. I lowkey need to borrow that whole fit.
