Former Bank Negara Malaysia governor Tan Sri Dr Zeti Akhtar Aziz on Wednesday refused to comment on the resignation of her successor, Tan Sri Muhammad Ibrahim. She however said the central bank is a solid institution that serves the people. Muhammad was promoted to lead BNM for a five-year term in May 2016 when Zeti stepped down after 16 years of leadership. Former deputy governor Datuk Nor Shamsiah Mohd Yunus is strongly tipped to succeed Muhammad.
