Two Australian-based political analysts who contributed to a compilation of essays entitled “The End of Umno?” on Saturday, via a video playback at the launch of their work, shared their views on what went wrong for Umno and Barisan Nasional in the May 9 general election. One of them attributed the coalition’s shock defeat to ex-premier Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak’s “toxic brand”.
