近年「眾籌」這個名詞在香港興起，但其實早在2012年，資深傳媒人鄭經翰就是靠這個方法，在短短兩天就籌了六百萬，創立了網上電台「D100」，這三年更累積了三千萬捐款，絕對是「眾籌」的佼佼者。
「D100」今年五月推出的「家有二千」募捐基金，短短一個月就已經籌得七百萬，這計劃是由一位劉先生先捐出百萬而啟發，約半年已籌得逾千萬。
